MEMBERSHIP IN NIOA
NIOA membership is open to anyone actively employed by any local, county, state or federal government agency, or any public safety or emergency services organization, whose primary responsibilities include managing or disseminating public information. Final review of applications and determination of eligibility is made by the Board of Directors.
“The NIOA is a unique and diverse group, representing law enforcement, fire, emergency services, medical and other public safety-oriented organizations. If you’re not a member yet, you should be asking yourself why. If you’re a strategic communications professional responsible for dealing with the media and disseminating information, you need to be a member of the NIOA!”
